Final version of cover

This cover is great because the colours work well, the cover model fits the genre of music my magazine is made for and it has all relevant information on the cover.

Fourth version of cover

This cover was good but the model did not really suit the magazine as he looked too unhappy and did not look like the person you would see in the genre of music.

Third version of cover

THis cover was okay but it was too bright, not very much colour and the model was still too boring. Some new pictures need taking and i need to think of a new colour scheme.



Second version of cover

This cover was nice but it did not fit my genre of music magazine. The model was too happy, the design was too clean cut, the mast head was very plain and the colours were to pastely.

First version of cover

This cover was not very good because the writing was very plain, it had an image on the front which was not allowed to be used as it was not my own, i made the model in the background too dark and the dark background mader it look very dull. It also doesn't fit in with my genre of music magazine because it looks too formal. There is also very little colour so it doesnt really stand out agains other magazines of the same genre.

Photographic influences

The above images are of Jared Leto. The pictures of Jared Leto are influencing my pictures because they all look like pictures that you would typically find ina  magazine. Jared Leto is also very popular in the pop punk scene and he looks like he belongs in the pop punk scene. The first two pictures above would make good cover photos because they are the conventional medium close up shot, he looks confident and he is looking at the straight at the camera.

The above pictures are of Josh Franchesci. The pictures of Josh are influencing my pictures because they all look like pictures you would typically find in a punk pop magazine ojn the double page spread, contents page or in a smaller story featured on the cover. The pictures couldnt be used on the cover but could be used elsewhere. Josh is very popular among the popm punk scene and looks very punky and has a similair style to what i want my cast to have.

The person in the above pictures is Tyson Ritter. These pictures will influence my pictures because they represent the pop punk world well and they represent everything I want my magazine to be about. He is seen as funny, but can be serious, well dressed and confident. The pictures are medium close ups which is conventional for the cover and he is also staring straight into the camera in one of the pictures.

I have chosen these clothes because I think they best represent what the readers will wear and it is what you expect to see a pop-punk band member to wear.

These are what I want my models to look like because they have a rough look about them but are very stylish and look confident.

I have picked these clothes because they are the types of clothes that a pop punk reader will wear if they are female and it is what you expect to see a band member to wear if they were in a pop punk band.

These are what I want my models to look like because they have the same style I want for my magazine, they are confident and are a good representation of the pop punk scene.





I changed what my models will look like and I decided there would be no women on my magazine cover, contents or dps.

The model will also have a beard and possibly tattoos because this what people that are pop-punk musicians often look like.

Music magazine brief
